The building on the mountain's edge where the cable car docks can be your office for the day.
Why tresshake loves the Table Mountain wifi Cafe
- Hands down the coffee shop with
the best view in all of Cape Town
- Most exhilarating commute to (c)office that you'll ever have.
- Working on top of one of the world's 7 wonders of nature. Nuff said :)
- To go for a walk on the most beautiful and breathtaking mountain paths when taking a break from work.
There is free wifi and the speed is very decent. In fact, the wifi is faster than most coffee shops in Cape Town.
There are plenty of plugs. Even USB plugs. Win!
Food and Drinks
The wifi cafe has a small selection of snacks and serve Truth coffee. If you want proper food, you can stroll over to the Cafe At The Top, where they have a full menu.
Make no mistake - it is touristy. They keep you entertained with a range of African music, including Jonny Clegg.
The staff is very accommodating and will happily adjust the aircon of loudness of the music upon request.
Death Stare Factor
There is no issue if you sit there the whole day with your laptop and order only 1 or 2 coffees. So, death stare factor is a big fat 0!
How to get there
There is plenty of parking up on Table Mountain road if you feel like driving. Just take some money to pay the car guards :)
My Citi Bus
The MyCiti has a dedicated bus to take you from the stop on the top of Kloof street straight to the Cable Car.
If you have big calves or loads of courage to cycle up Table Mountain road, let us know, and we'll wait at the top with a celebratory banner and a medal.
