Bridget McNulty is passionate about helping people tell their stories. After completing a Creative Writing degree at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she returned home to South Africa to write her first novel, Strange Nervous Laughter. It was published by Struik in South Africa and Macmillan in the USA, and launched her career as a published author and magazine writer. It also led her to start Now Novel: an online novel-writing course where she coaches aspiring writers to start - and finish! - their novels.

At the same time, Bridget was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and decided to start Sweet Life: a magazine and online diabetes community that offers information and inspiration to all those wanting to live a happy, healthy life with diabetes in South Africa. Sweet Life has become a trusted resource for diabetics wanting to share their stories and feel part of a community. She wrote a health memoir, How to Live a Happy Life (with a Chronic Illness) that she published digitally to share with this community, and frequently speaks about her experiences of living with a chronic condition.

Alongside Sweet Life and Now Novel, Bridget is a content strategist who delights in helping brands find their voice and tap into the story of what makes them unique. She has worked on content strategy for brands across all industries, including Hetzner, Pick n Pay and BabyGroup, and has a particular interest in health, food and kids (as they make up a large portion of her everyday life!)
