Bridget McNulty is a published author, content strategist, writer and co-founder of South Africa’s largest diabetes community, Sweet Life. After winning a full scholarship to study Creative Writing at Franklin & Marshall College in the USA and becoming a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, she returned home to South Africa to publish her first novel, Strange Nervous Laughter, at age 25. It was published by Struik in South Africa and Macmillan in the USA, and launched her career as a published author and magazine writer. It also led her to start Now Novel: an online novel-writing site with more than 3 million visitors a year, from all over the world.
Inspiring, creative and optimistic, Bridget is frequently interviewed on radio, TV, magazines and online about how to live a healthy life with a chronic illness.
Dave Duarte is a teacher dedicated to helping people build more effective cultures and communities for change. Specialising in digital influence, Dave has worked in more than 25 countries building campaigns towards the United Nations Global Goals with his company Treeshake. He also runs the Ogilvy Digital Marketing Academy, which helps the "ad agency of the decade" to remain at the forefront of marketing innovation.
Tech savvy, creative, and results-oriented, The World Economic Forum lists him as Young Global Leader, and has invited him to address world leaders in Davos.
Previously Dave was Programme Director at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business; headed up Creative Commons South Africa; served on the Board of the Mail & Guardian; and co-founded the pioneering Social Media Agency, Cerebra.
